Franziska Moor and Lahbib Elgasmi are the founders and owners of soul-travels.

Lahbib Elgasmi was born in the desert and raised mainly in the Sahara of Morocco during his early childhood. There he lived with his family as a nomad like all his ancestors. Today he lives in M’hamid el Ghizlane. He has a very deep connection with humans and animals. He also has a broad experience handling dromedaries. Lahbib domesticates his animals since childhood. They learn to carry water, wood, goods but also tired or sick people and animals. Nowadays, among other things they are used as pack dromedaries for desert trips. Dromedary races play an important part in the traditional life of a nomad. Therefore some of the animals are trained to be fast racing animals.
Lahbib knows the desert exceedingly well, it was his childhood playground and his field of experience. Since many years he accompanies all kind of people through the Sahara thus gaining a great experience and knowledge of human nature.

Franziska Moor is Swiss. She has two grown-up children and works since almost thirty years as sports and primary school teacher in the surroundings of Berne. For twelve years she was a school principal and is very experienced in teaching and guiding children, teenagers and adults.
Since her first encounter with the Moroccan Desert and the people and animals living there she returns to this place of simplicity, stillness and closeness to nature again and again.
